Scope: Named in honor of the 43rdĀ Governor of Texas, Mark White Elementary was built to relieve overcrowding on the west side of Houston. The $17 million, 87,000 sq ft school features the first public French dual-language immersion program in Texas, and can accommodate up to 750 students. The two-story building features open ceiling extended learning areas between classrooms, and large windows with views of neighboring woods that help connect students to the outdoors.
